Thank you! It is so rare to find a shot in England without clouds making the picture dim, dull, and gloomy.

Cool shot....and that's just passed Wadham college isn't it....so that rules out carfax tower, but it's the church tower, and I can't remember what it's called.

Haha. Sorry, but only one of your comments has been remotely correct.

The street is Turl Street, commonly known simply as "The Turl". You took the photo outside Lincoln College, which is just past Exeter College on the same side of the street and Jesus opposite from Exeter. The building at the end is All Saints Church, which is now the college library for Lincoln. On your left is accommodation for Lincoln, several nice shops, the Mitre Pub and the covered market.

It is not "just past Wadham", either (Trinity, Balliol, Exeter and Jesus colleges are all closer and more appropriately referred to as having just been passed). For Wadham, you have to do an about turn, walk to the end of Turl Street until Broad Street, turn right towards Blackwells bookshop then turn left towards the science buildings.
